At 16’5” with a 64” beam, it provides exceptional tracking thanks to its flat-bottom box keel, allowing it to sit level on docks and beaches. The sealed deck increases freeboard, ensuring comfortable heeling under sail without swamping. With its balanced lug rig, the Melonseed is easy to handle, performs well in light winds, and allows for sliding seat rowing—even with the mast up.
