She also features a unique feature you wouldn’t find on a standard rowing Whitehall– a kick-up rudder with tiller extension. Occasionally we’ve had folks ask for us to put a rudder on a rowboat so that a passenger could help with steering from the stern seat position, while the rower pulls the oars without having to concern themselves with their bearing.
The wood trim has weathered with age, so that’s a cosmetic issue that the new owner could address if desired. Other than that, the boat is in great shape. We’ve done some reconditioning work on the fiberglass, so despite being 20 years old, this Whitehall should be an excellent rowing companion for at least another 20 years. She just needs a bit of TLC to make her sparkle again!
